A few spring trends I’m excited about…
SUITS! YES, MORE SUITS
The suit trend isn’t ending anytime soon and I’m over the moon about it. I love this trend so much and I hope it continues on for many years. Pastel/brightly colored suits are huge right now if you’re looking to pick up something in season. I’m not a massive wearer of pastels or bright colors so I opted for a burnt red suit and I’ll be looking at more neutral suits as the season continues on!
Waist Belts
A little something that can level up any outfit. I tend to wear a lot of oversized dresses so for me this is something I’ll grasp onto and not let go.
Strong Shoulders
I’m a little biased on this one because I have broad shoulders to begin with so I’m all about this being cool. However, you’ll be seeing a lot more shoulder pads being added into blazers, coats, etc. Get ready for boldness all around.
Polka Dots
Hand me some red lipstick and a Chanel purse and I’d be over the moon (if only). I’m so excited that polka dots are out in strong force. They are such a classic look and make me feel so giddy. They are an instant flair of femininity and a statement piece regardless if you’re wearing them as a dress, a shirt, a blazer, etc.
Checks
Gingham and heritage checks aren’t going anywhere. I’m more particular with checks, but once I find the perfect check print – it’s a game changer.
Mule loafers
This shoe trend is my absolute favorite. I love the tomboyish feel they have. They are so versatile and can be paired with a suit or a dress for a more sophisticated look or they can be paired with cropped jeans for a more casual look. Investing in a pair of mules if you’re a flat wearer is definitely worth it in my book!
Those are the trends I’ll be paying more attention to this spring going into summer. I always love to see how styles change and evolve, but for the most part I’ll be sticking with classic pieces that will wear well for the rest of the year. 🙂
Below are a few pieces I’ve already picked up and also some that I’ll be looking to add to my wardrobe!
I’ve been using Ebates now for almost a full year and it pains me to think of the amount of money I could have saved had I started using it earlier.
So, first off, what is Ebates? Well, Ebates is a consumer based company that stores (like Sephora, Levi’s, Target, etc) will pay a commission for sending consumers (like you and me) to their websites. Ebates then shares a percentage of their profits with us as a thank you and incentive for using it. Each store varies on what percentage it is that we receive and it can change, but by reading my tips below you’ll see how to maximize your savings.
There are 5 tricks to Ebates that I’ve learned and I’d like to share with you so you can start saving and living your best life.
1. Download and USE the browser add on. I cannot stress this enough. This made this biggest difference for me. Every website that I’m shopping on it automatically lets me know if I’m able to earn cash back and will let me click on the tab to activate it so I can have peace of mind that I’m saving money.
2. If you hop around on different tabs of your browser before actually checking out – make sure your Ebates is still active before you hit that little “pay now” button. If you have the browser add on – then all you have to do is just make sure the little check mark is still checked. It can make all the difference between getting cash back or losing out on money.
3. Ebates will often increase how much cash back they give on a store depending on if it’s a holiday or major shopping day (like cyber Monday, for example). So if you know a holiday is coming up – try to hold off on purchases that you know won’t sell out. It can make a massive difference if you buy something with 10% or 14% cash back versus just 2% or 3%.
4. Just before you get paid you can earn even more! At the end of the quarter before Ebates paypals you the money you’ve earned for the quarter they’ll first ask if you’d like it in a gift card form. Normally, I shy away from this because I’d rather have the money direct into my account. However, every once in awhile it pays for me to take the gift card if I know I’m planning to buy something from a store that they are offering a gift card on. (like Sephora, for example) With gift cards – Ebates will actually give you a 10-20% bonus depending on the store… which just means more money for you.
5. Lastly, you can earn $10 just by signing up and using it for the first time on a purchase of $25 or more. It’s as easy as that!
